Designed by architect Shoval Omer, the Skinless tower in Tel Aviv is a new type of residential high-rise that reflects architectural excellence and sustainability. The development is conceived as an aggregation of small volumes with a large number of open spaces that allow light to filter to the city. The proposal involves highly customizable living units attach to a steel exoskeleton to offer a modern and green living space.
Deriving inspiration from the analysis of the anatomy of shell patterns, the white tower merges perfectly with the existing urban fabric. The architect has designed many pods as vertical farms and water collectors with photovoltaic cells. The commercial areas at the lower levels and recreational parks encourage a interaction between the residents and offer a relaxing environment.
