Made from used drawing pins, the Pin Castle recreates the same medieval charm that had once invoked gothic architects to shape up citadels for knights and lords. The Bournemouth (UK) based artist Max Galbraith kept collecting discarded pins from every notice board he came across before reusing them to bring his unitary castle into existence.
Max summarizes his art as he says:
The work I craft is always an extension of myself, although a completely separate, tangible object, visible for the interpretation of an individual spectators opinion. I believe my work is, an expression of self-portraiture via construction.
With a definite emphasis on the term 'recycled', the mini castle is inspiring enough to drive a soul or two to think seriously about the recycling aspect of discarded objects for sure.
