The "Recycled" pump by Liza Fredrika Åslund are sports heels whittled from chunks of wood left over from furniture construction. Cut and mounted by hand on an iron pin, the pieces of wood are stacked to form a single unit.
The shoes are designed to provide a more even weight distribution on the ground while the user is walking, in spite of the 12 cm heel. Each model comes in a single color, while all sport a unifying orange lining.
I studied fashion at the Danish Designschool in Copenhagen, where I'm also living right now. I love to go running in the Swedish forest with my dad and to solve crossword puzzles. In my designs, I like to build things, combine them together, and I also like boring things, boring colors, and boring materials.
