Here's a design for the most sustainably designed gym that harnesses human and solar power to generate electrical energy for its power requirements. A finalist for the CIFIAL International Design Competition "Feel the planet Earth", the ENERGYM has several levels of human powered system that keeps it running. All fitness equipment in the gym is fitted with dynamos for power generation including the cardio fitness system integrated with power recovery tools.
The building's swimming pool features lane break floaters with hydraulic generators and side wave flaps for kinetic energy gain. The door hinges of the gym wear kinetic energy gain system while the basement contains convertors for power transformation and batteries for continuous power supply. Interestingly the classroom floor and steps too are embedded with shock absorbing device for energy gain. Energym also wears a sustainable roof covered with photovoltaic panels to supplement continuous power supply.
