Eco Factor: Zero-emission vehicle will be powered by electricity.
Takayanagi Co., a small Japanese automaker has come up a retro-themed open-top, custom-made electric vehicle that hints at an unexpected luxuriousness in the same category as scooters with engine displacement of up to 50cc. The vehicle, dubbed Miluira, features about 90 percent components that have been made in Japan.
The single-seater vehicle is capable of travelling 35km on a single 12-hour charge using a common household socket. Costing about $75,400, the vehicle needs the driver to have a license for a car, not a motorcycle. Powered by lead acid batteries, the vehicle has a top speed of 60kph.
