HOSTEM Menswear Store by JAMESPLUMB

JAMESPLUMB, the design studio of Hannah Plumb and James Russell, has created this amazing vintage backdrop for East London's new HOSTEM menswear store. Instilled with a sense of timelessness and history, this establishment's identity is defined by its distressed materials and unique furniture pieces that have been reclaimed or adapted from other objects. The application of their studio's signature love-worn look to the interiors of this industrial space has culminated in an environment that is as distinguished as the clothes within.

The focal point of the store is a down-trodden church pew that has been repurposed into the front desk. A crackled painting by Huw Griffiths adorns the wall beyond.

Vintage US Trouble lighting hangs from long cables above - casting a soft glow over the store's unique merchandise.

Hand-painted hessian wall panels line the walls and ceiling of the store while refurbished floor boards provide that signature JAMESPLUMB love-worn look.

Washed out Swedish linen curtains frame out the store's large windows while allowing diffuse light to filter through.

Steel was cold-bent and hand-worked to create the one-of-a-kind clothes rails found throughout the store.

Vintage lampshades have ingeniously been reworked to create the monochromatic Cluster chandelier that hangs above the bespoke front desk.
